For any new application we are able to perform a soft credit search which won’t harm your credit score, it’s just for us to verify the information you provide to us on your application. We like to check if you have any County Court Judgments (CCJs) or whether you’re entered into any Debt Management Schemes or Individual Voluntary Arrangements (IVAs).

What is our alternative method to checking if a loan is affordable for you?

For all our applications we have to assess affordability so that we can act in your best interest as responisble lenders. To do this, a representative of brantwood finance will contact you and complete a full application with you over the phone. They will go through your applicatonand ask you questions about your personal and financial situation, taking note of your income and expenditure.

In order to verify the information you give to us, we will ask you to send us supporting documents by email. We require 3 months’ current bank statements of all accounts held in your name. This way we can see your current financial situation and from here we can assess whether a loan would be affordable and suitable for you. If your information is verified and we feel we can proceed, you’ll be asked to send a copy of your photo ID and proof of address.
